This agreement (the "Terms") is a legal contract between you and Not Alone Ministries Uganda ("NAMU"). It governs your use of our website, mobile applications, and any online services provided by NAMU.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.

Eligibility & Accounts

Registration Requirements

To access certain features of the site, particularly the e-commerce store, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and current information.
Maintain the security of your password.
Be at least 18 years of age or have legal guardian consent.

Account Termination

NAMU reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our community standards or engage in fraudulent activities without prior warning.

Product Availability & Pricing

All items in our shop are subject to availability. As many products are handmade by the Bugiri community, variations in design, color, and size are expected and celebrated as unique characteristics. Prices are subject to change based on material costs and shipping logistics.

Shipping & Delivery

Delivery times are estimates. NAMU is not responsible for delays caused by international customs, postal strikes, or force majeure events within the Republic of Uganda.

Return & Refund Policy

Due to the charitable nature of our sales, returns are only accepted for defective items within 14 days of receipt. All sales final on digital resources and donations.

Transaction Currency

Primary: UGX (Ugandan Shillings) | Secondary: USD (US Dollars)

Intellectual Property

"The stories, images, and brand of Not Alone Ministries are sacred representations of our mission."

Ownership

All content, including text, graphics, logos, videos, and software, is the property of NAMU or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.

Prohibited Use

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of this site without express written permission from the Board of Directors.

Prohibited Conduct

Users are strictly prohibited from engaging in the following activities:

Scraping data or using bots.

Impersonating ministry staff.

Spreading harmful software.

Unauthorized payment testing.

Limitation of Liability

NOT ALONE MINISTRIES UGANDA PROVIDES THIS SITE ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY APPLICABLE LAW, NAMU DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NAMU WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM THE USE OF THIS SITE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda, specifically the high courts serving the Bugiri/Jinja region.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NAMU, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against all losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of these Terms or any activity related to your account (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person accessing the site using your account.
